The information below on recycling and disposal is provided as a service to the residents of DuPage County. Inclusion is not intended as an endorsement of any of these companies, nor has the County purposely excluded any additional parties that may provide waste redution or recycling services.
HOLIDAY TIPS!
Some municipalities and townships recycle Christmas trees. Check with your local township or city for more information on Christmas tree recycling and disposal. Also, please remember that wrapping paper is not recyclable and should NOT be placed in with your other recyclables.

The following drop-offs are a result of a partnership between DuPage County and SIMS Recycling Solutions. Residential electronics can be dropped off at the following locations at no charge. No business electronics are permitted. Sites will accept the following items: computers, CPUs, monitors, keyboards, televisions, radios, microwaves, laptops, printers, cell phones, UPS systems, PDU's, fax machines, phones, DVD players, VCR's and stereo equipment. These sites will NOT accept any item containing liquids or refrigerants. See the appliance section of the Recycling Guide for information on how to recycle these specialty items.

- Latex Paint
- Latex paint can be dried with cat litter, oil dry, sawdust or another absorbent material.
Once the paint is dried, it can be put out with regular garbage. Make sure to leave the the lid off so the driver can see that the paint has been dried.
- Check back in Summer 2009 for the summer recycling program. To pick up a 5-gallon container of recycled latex paint, call the Public Works Department at (630) 985-7400.
