Stormwater Ordinance Discussion Draft – Updated Version

Monday, December 20th, 2010

Today we are making available an updated draft of the Stormwater Ordinance.  This draft represents the thinking of the consulting team, with input from the steering committee on many issues, and feedback on policy issues received to date from the Stormwater Committee.  The concepts represented in the draft have for the most part been aired in this blog earlier.  The steering committee will continue in its job of being the “point” for developing language, and this draft does not represent a consensus of the steering committee on all issues.  We invite, and welcome, your comments as we continue to work towards a draft that represents a true consensus of the County, with all interested parties voicing their views.

Discussion Draft

Friday, October 15th, 2010

Today we are making available a complete draft of the ordinance update.  This draft represents the thinking of the consulting team, with input from the steering committee on many issues, and feedback on policy issues received to date from the Stormwater Committee.  The concepts represented in the draft have for the most part been aired in this blog earlier.  This draft is unpolished, and we will continue to refine the language and work on consistency issues independent of comments received.  We believe we had reached a point where further comments on concepts was unproductive without a complete draft, so that the context of the various suggestions for changes could be understood.  So, the consulting team put this draft together to continue the dialogue at the next level of development.  The steering committee will continue in its job of being the “point” for developing language, and this draft does not represent a consensus of the steering committee on all issues.  We invite, and welcome, your comments as we continue to work towards a draft that represents a true consensus of the County, with all interested parties voicing their views.
